Our First Boat Show

Few exhibitors are old enough to remember me as "Shane",  before the conception of Spike On The Water. In the 90's, I used to work at the Exibition Center (where the Toronto International Boat Show is held) for our family business, The Exhibitor Support Centre delivering facsimile confirmations for the all important financing approvals, collecting payments for services rendered, and reproducing many, many business cards on site.

Then, in 1996, as I was walking around TIBS (Toronto International Boat Show), I was handed the brochure for the Marine Technology and Recreation program at Georgian College.

Fast forward 21 years and we are now, finally a player at the big show!

This year we handed out our brochures, which have a full spread inside on our new guild system for developing a new wave of master craftsmen.

Hopefully we handed at least one out to someone like me, who will read it and hear their calling to a life on the water.

Another huge development is finally joining Boating Ontario! Their new website platform has been updated to accept online membership applications and present your marine business with an amazing amount of content. Our catalogue is available on their website and our services are available to all Marinas and Yacht Clubs across Ontario!!

A huge highlight of the event was having the world famous Nigel Calder stroll into our booth! This legendary author is responsible for many of the text books in the now defunct Marine Technology and Recreation program and if your are a boat owner doing your own electrical or diesel maintence you must purchase one or all of his books.

One day during lunch break I was lucky to meet Mr.Ted Lange! As a kid in the 80's he was the first guy I recognized that was working On The Water Every Day!

and he got tottaly got to share a sunset kiss with Janet Jackson .... My Hero for real!!

No Boat Show is complete without the Power Boating Magazine party! The prime rib buffet with all the fixings is always fantastic! Huge thanks to the Taylor family for the invite!

Our booth palcement could not have been better. We were on two main aisles, and right next door to Raymarine. Hopefully we will have the same 10 x 20 spot next year in booth G348!

Our friend and fellow dock rat Roy paid us a visit. We have competing services at the Port Credit Yacht Club but we both know there is enough work to go around, so we try to help eachother out.

Captain Goldstein was very pleased to see his Tartan 3700 featured in our booth display. We have cared for his yacht going on 10 years now!

A chance happening was meeting up with Raymond Toth of the ABYC - American Boating and Yacht Council, We have been mutual LinkedIn fans of eachother for years now and leave it to the boat show to make networking on the water happen in January eh! The ABYC has certification courses we will utilize to empower our crew!

This is Kelly McGlogan. He introduced me to a whole new dimension of european style protection for all surfaces. They offer a multitude of water-based, Eco-Friendly boat cleaning supplies for your convenience including a environmentally friendly certified biodegradable cleaner. These easy to apply, quick drying boat maintenance supplies and cleaning supplies utilize a unique “state-of-the-art” technology from SurfaceScience®. Offering a eco-friendly safe product line that will remove pink, green and brown mold from the exterior of your watercraft and not damage the environment or pollute the water.

We are now testing to bring these amazing products to marinas and yacht clubs across our region and then the world!

The owners of our favorite Beneteau 49 GT, Mr. and Mrs.Cameron came by to confirm details of their 2017 seasonal package.

If you are looking to join our seasonal service roster follow this link to our website and

Another project we delivered during the slow time is a BRAND NEW SHOPIFY STORE check it out now!

As always, thank you for reading this, thank you for giving us the oppourtunity to be ON THE WATER EVERY DAY!

See you on the Water!

Hi. I see that you don’t update your page too often.
I know that writing content is time consuming and boring.
But did you know that there is a tool that allows you to
create new posts using existing content (from article directories or other websites from your
niche)? And it does it very well. The new articles are
high quality and pass the copyscape test. You should try miftolo’s tools
