Inspired By Capt. King!

I have a goal to enable the crew to earn more on the job and offer our clients greater awareness of the care and commitment we are putting into their boats.

Formerly the only contact the boater had with our company came directly to the CEO via phone call, text message that consumed a ton of energy. A mentor / client convinced me to "Stop answering the phone" and "Hire a good assistant". Easily one of the hardest and most rewarding moves I've made in years!

In 2016, five major developments were tested and now being detailed for higher efficient in the delivery of our services as a result of a conversation with Capt. King.

A. New website by Smartypants.com - these guys rock!!! 

B. Typeform.com integration to handle new crew applications m, crew hours reporting, job completion reports (NABS or notes about boats) that were designed to be a communication tool for our crew to develop ownership of their work tasks in consistent format for our clients security. Our service booking form and booking helper forms were customized for each service section with links that say "Help Me Choose"

C. Alexandria Caldeira joins the admin team, taking our communications to 3 phones with the main line 416-890-5899 no longer being answered by Spike! Woohoo! A lot of frustration eventually subsidized thanks to Alexandra and her supremely pleasant demeanour in person and on the phone. We are very grateful for Alexandra. ��

D. The White Pearl joined the family. This RIB is an Air Solid 22 with a 115 HP Suzuki outboard that opened up all clubs of the Toronto islands to weekly service.

 

 

E. Tug Scrub by Spike On The Water was finally delivered after two years of testing .. see our blog "What is Tug Scrub"

This post started as an email to the boys at smartypants.com to upgrade the OTW Crew page and I got to thinking I'd love some feed back on the next section. Can you see what we a creating here?


1. Change name only -  Apply Now ▶️ New Crew Application 

2. Change OTW Crew hours ▶️ Check IN/OUT -goes to new pagethat will have picture tiles of boatswe service each going to a custom typeform. 
I need perfect pixel size to customize each tile photo of client boats. 
Each tile will be a clickable link to a custom typeform for each client boat.

3. NABS - kill the link as the Check IN/OUT Will allow Boater's to respond independently if they choose to use the website. 

4. I do believe an intermediary page with only a simple scroll list of Marinas and yacht clubs in our region would be an efficient sorting tool- it would mean a page for each marina and yacht club in our region to hold the picture tiles .. also offering the future opportunity to include a site map and yard specifics for easy assistance to crew and clients eh?
